MAT-100 Introduction to College Mathematics

MAT-101 EXEMPTION TEST

Students who successfully complete (pass) MAT-100 may take an exemption examination and skip MAT-101 and proceed to MAT-102.   Your instructor, Ken Ferguson, will work with you as you prepare for the exemption test.

The passing score on the exemption exam is 70%.  The exemption will be graded immediately on completion.  If necessary, schedule changes may be made at that time.

There is no charge for the exemption.  For those students who pass, a grade of 'E' will be recorded for MAT-101.  Exempting a course by examination does not award credit hours to the student and the grade is not included in the student's GPA.

For those who register for MAT-101, an opportunity to take the exemption test will be offered within the first three (3) days of the semester.  The test will be offered in the Testing Center.  Only one opportunity is offered - those who elect to take the test at the end of MAT-100 will NOT be eligible to take the test (again) at the beginning of the MAT-101 semester.
